The Federal Government has put up for sale of two aircrafts in the presidential fleet according to an advert placed in a national daily.
The advert asks interested buyers to show interest for the two aircrafts – a Falcon 7X (5N-FGU) and Hawker 4000 (5N-FGX).
The Falcon 7X has a 16 passenger and 3 crew members capacity, while the Hawker 4000 can seat 9 passengers and 6 crew members.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu on September 8, 2016, said the Federal Government has constituted a committee looking into the sales of some presidential jets.
He said: “There is a govt committee already in place, working to reduce the number of aircraft in the presidential fleet.”
“Some aircraft will be boarded, some others returned to the Air Force for operations. The Change is here.”
“There is hope for Nigeria, a hope that was previously clouded by corruption, greed and lack of focus.”
