Maria Grette from Sweden has narrated how she fell in love with a 24-year-old Nigerian yahoo boy who she had always thought was a 58-year-old man from Denmark.
The 62-year-old woman was angry when she discovered his true identity but soon after, her feelings changed.
Ms Grette’s relationship with the fake 58-year-old man started after her friends and family teased her to go get a man after going through a divorce few years earlier, she listened to them by creating a profile on an online dating website after where she met the Nigerian yahoo boy pretending to be a widower from Denmark.

After being scammed heavily, she traveled down to Nigeria to meet up with the yahoo boy. They met on October 2009 in Abuja after the 24-year-old scammer had opened up to her about his true identity.
