Each House Of Rep. Member Contributes N50,000 For Victorious Nigerian Paralympic Team


Members of the House of Representatives have decided to contribute the sum of N50,000 each to the team Nigeria delegation to the just concluded Rio Paralympics 2016.

This decision was made yesterday during their plenary session yesterday, saying it is a token of their appreciation to the delegation for an outstanding performance.

The motion was moved by Rep Ayo Omidiran (APC, Osun) saying the team deserved the support of the lawmakers, in view of the unprecedented medals won by them.

The House also resolved to invite the paralympians to one of their sessions as a mark of honor. The house commended the paralympians for emerging the best delegates from Africa at the sporting event.

The money would total into N18m.
