BREAKING: INEC Declares Godwin Obaseki As New Governor Of Edo State



The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the the candidate of the All Progressive Congress(APC) in Edo state, Godwin Obaseki as the new governor of Edo state.

This is coming after many controversies, claims and counter claims before, during and after the elections.

The Returning Officer of Edo state election, Professor Kayode Shoremekun declared Obaseki the winner of the election at about 4:08

Obaseki of the APC won the election by polling a total number of 319,483 votes as against PDP’s Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu’ 253,173 votes

There was a total of 613,244 votes cast during the election with only 582,299 votes considered valid while 30,945 votes were rejected.
