The drama continues.
Although Brad Pitt has kept a low profile since Angelina Jolie's shocking Sept. 19 divorce filing amid reports he's being investigated by child services over a mid-flight incident with one of their children, a new report claims Brad has his own concerns about the kids' safety.
TMZ reports that Brad has been "especially upset that Angelina had taken the kids to various war-torn countries, including Lebanon and Iraq."
Angelina -- who's slowly but surely been morphing from Hollywood starlet to UN humanitarian in recent years -- feels she handled the trips responsibly because she "would always make sure to bring a security team that was the best of the best on her trips," TMZ reports. "But for Brad, it still wasn't enough."
According to TMZ, things got especially tense when Brad and Angelina "argued over taking the kids to Syria to help rebuild the war-torn country."
While Brad has long been supportive of Angie's solo charity work, "travels with the kids became a bone of contention for several years," the site explains.
Angelina, a United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Goodwill Ambassador, made headlines in 2015 when she brought daughter Shiloh Jolie-Pitt to Turkey's southeastern province of Mardin, where they spent time in Syrian and Iraqi refugee camps to mark World Refugee Day.
Angelina's increasingly ambitious political aspirations have also been a bone of contention, reports TMZ.
The former couple's bitter split has continued to generate headlines for other reasons as well.
On Sept. 24, Us Weekly reported that Angelina severed direct lines of communication with her husband of two years and partner of 12 following her divorce filing.
"Angelina has blocked all incoming text messages and also Brad's numbers," an insider told the magazine.
The same day, Britain's The Sun reported that Angelina has been leaning on newly divorced pal Johnny Depp in the wake of her split from Brad.
"There's no suggestion that their closeness played any part in Angelina and Brad's split," a source told the Sun (Angelina and Johnny co-starred in the 2010 movie "The Tourist").
"But they have been speaking about the situation, and Angelina hired Johnny's lawyer [Laura Wasser] to represent her based on the advice that he has given her," the source added, referring to Johnny's recent contentious divorce battle with Amber Heard.
